What's Happenin' Now

A whole new year, all new possibilities

WOW! I can't believe its the new year already, this year has taken no time to pass by. The kids are on the Christmas vacation and don't have to go back to school till Jan 9th. I have no idea what on earth I am gonna do with them all that time. My mom and step dad are down for Christmas, its the first holiday the get to spend with the kids. Our Christmas day once again will be full of driving, gifts and lots of eating. We start our day at home and then its off to the in laws house for lunch and gifts, then dinner with my nanny and poppy. By the end of the day we are so sick of family its not funny any more. This year we might have to skip the movie with Grandma English, its become sort of a tradition to head of to the movies after we've had our fill of the holiday spirit. This year I think we will just spend the time with Poppy.  This year for Christmas we let the kids buy the gifts for everyone else and I think Trinity gave the best gift of all. She has cut off and donated 12 inches of hair to the Locks of Love Foundation. When asked why she did it she said; "I want to give something I grow without worries to a little girl who because she is sick she can't have.....Its only hair mom and it will grow back...geshhh" Makes my heart just fill up and wanna burst with love. At 10 years old she's so loving and so mature, its hard not to love her. Plus she is such a doll with her short hair cut, it really brings out the beauty in her face.

Moms' new jobs

So I've currently been a substitute teacher for over a year now and I still enjoy it....lol But I'm seriously considering going back to school and getting my nursing certification. I've always been intersted in health and medicine, plus blood and guts are really cool. After the first of the year I'll be taking my TABE test and then hopefully getting excepted to the nursing program at the local techinical institute. Following in my Aunts footsteps, plus with all the hospital visits we had with Willie I can save us some money being able to deal with the accidents at home.......lol
